Two men suspected of locking a mother and son into a shower during an armed robbery are in custody. Police say they searching for two more.
Police said just after 5:30 Monday evening officers responded to the 11000 block of East 14th Street. They said when officers arrived they learned a woman, 41, and her 11-year-old son walked into their home to find four men inside, armed with guns.
According to reports, the men demanded money, and when the woman told them she didn’t have any they threatened her with guns.
Police said, at times, they pointed the guns to her head, put the boy in a headlock and made the women empty her purse.
The report says the men ransacked the home after they didn’t find any money, and put the two victims in the shower and tied it shut from the outside.
The men left with the woman’s H2 Hummer, police said. Around 10:30 Monday night police said they found the vehicle by the old Eastland Mall.
Two men were taken into custody Monday night and questioned.
