As Hurricane Matthew approaches the Atlantic coast of Florida, OG&E crews gear up to lend a hand.
More than 70 OG&E employees are making the trip. Their team is made up of contractors and linemen.
They are all prepared to assist Florida utility companies across the state with their restoration efforts in the aftermath of Matthew. OG&E staff has told us they also plan on sending 73 vegetation management members.
The damaging winds and rain are expected to leave thousands without power in Florida.
These crews will be helping Duke Energy, Florida Power and Light, and South Carolina Electric and Gas.
