Motorcyclist Hit, Killed On Tulsa Highway

Tulsa Police said a motorcyclist died following a crash on Highway 169 near East 21st Street. A police officer on patrol came upon the scene around 9:14 Sunday night, October 16, 2016.

Authorities said the driver of a chopper-type motorcycle was passing a car when he lost control of his bike which started to wobble. The rider veered into the path of the car he was passing and laid down the bike, officers said. The car then ran over the motorcyclist who died of his injuries around 11 p.m., police records show.

The motorcyclist has not been identified pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the car wasn't cited.
