With just three weeks to the November general election, Tulsa precinct workers are busy getting ready for what is expected to be a large turnout.
Right now at the Tulsa County Election Board office, all the voting machines are being checked to make sure they are ready to count your vote on November 8th In another room, a group of people are undergoing precinct worker training.
Early voting hasn't started yet. Voters will be able to do that starting November 3rd.
Concerning absentee ballots for the November general election, voters can apply online up to 5 p.m. on November 2nd.
In Oklahoma, anyone can apply for an absentee ballot for any reason.
Just make sure you follow the steps to make sure it's mailed back on time.
Tulsa County has over 260 precincts and county election officials say several hundred workers will be added to the precincts for this election.
They said it is important to make sure they are adequately trained to make the voting process run smoothly.
"Because we have increased turnout on those elections, the normal turnout isn't that high but for a presidential election it may be very high 70, 75 percent of the number of voters in that precinct," said Patty Bryant, Tulsa County Election Board Secretary.
