The Pioneer Woman has finally opened her general store in Pawhuska.
The Pioneer Woman is Ree Drummond, creator of ‘The Pioneer Woman’ blog and host of her own TV show.
Monday morning she delighted her fans by opening The Mercantile, a shop, deli and bakery in a historic building in downtown Pawhuska.

A crowd lined up early Monday morning outside The Mercantile. Gene and Floyce Wharton drove 420 miles from Missouri to be first in line.
"I always watch her show on TV and everything and I just told my husband, I said, 'Wouldn't it be fun to go to the open house?' and he says, 'Why not,' so here we are," Floyce said.
Drummond and her husband Ladd bought the Osage Mercantile building in 2012 and started restoring it. Now, the store includes a downstairs deli and shop, along with an upstairs bakery.
"I like her kitchen gadgets so I'll probably be hitting that later on today," said Floyce Wharton.
The Pioneer Woman herself says that this is a day they've been waiting for, just to see this store and bakery finally come to fruition.
Drummond showed up around 7 Monday morning to sign autographs and cookbooks and take pictures with the fans. She described this as a "surreal" experience.
"I see the iron skillet full of the same cinnamon rolls I've made my family for years and years and people are enjoying them for breakfast this morning and there's just no greater pleasure for me," Drummond said.
The Whartons finally made it in the store and Gene says he's excited for the home-cooked meals on the way.
"I haven't bought anything but she's bought cookbooks and mixing bowls and hopefully good food will come out of that," Gene said.
