Arkansas Shooting Suspect Arrested In Oklahoma

Deputies have taken an Arkansas shooting suspect into custody in rural LeFlore County early Wednesday.

He is identified as 46-year-old Ed Martin of Mena, Arkansas. 

Deputies tell KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, Martin was considered armed and considered extremely dangerous.

Early Wednesday, LeFlore County Sheriff’s deputies found Martin’s 2003 Chevy Malibu in a ditch near Spiro. A short time later, deputies located and arrested Martin. 

They say the shooting happened near Acorn, Arkansas. The victim, a 42-year old man was transported to the Mena Regional Health System before being taken to another hospital for surgery.
