Four more flu cases have been officially confirmed in Oklahoma according to state health officials.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health says while there has been no deaths reported due to the flu, 18 people have been hospitalized because of the illness since the flu season began last month.
The OSDH released its latest figures Thursday saying the number of counties with flu hospitalizations continues to grow.
Two weeks ago, the department reported 14 flu hospitalizations in ten counties. This week, the OSDH says there are now 18 cases in eleven counties.

The four new hospitalizations were in McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie counties.
Every Thursday, the OSDH releases its weekly influenza report and will continue to do so until May 2017.
The department continues to urge everyone to get the flu vaccine. They say it is recommended for everyone, six months of age or older.
The OSDH says every county health department office in Oklahoma has the vaccine.
