A Bristow High School teacher resigned Wednesday shortly before he was arrested by an OSBI Special Agent on allegations that he had sexual contact with a student, the OSBI states.
Christopher B. Bivins, 24, was arrested for second-degree rape, sexual battery, possession of child pornography, production of child pornography, and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, according to the OSBI.
Bivins taught English at BHS.
The OSBI stepped in to investigate after the Bristow Police Department and the Creek County District Attorney's Office requested OSBI investigate the allegations.
Bivins turned in his resignation from the Bristow Public School District a few hours before he was arrested, OSBI said.
He's been booked into the Creek County jail.
Online court records also show that Bivins' wife filed for divorce Tuesday in Creek County.
