Tulsa police said an armed robbery suspect was arrested on an armed robbery complaint after he and another suspect robbed a Tulsa pawn shop with a hammer Wednesday morning.
Police said they responded to the robbery in progress at about 9:45 a.m. on May 31 at the Cash America Pawn Shop at 1100 S. Memorial Drive and that a citizen had one of the of the suspects detained at gunpoint until police arrived.
Officers said they took one suspect into custody without incident but that the other suspect ran in a different direction and K-9 officers weren't able to track him.
Police said several items taken during the robbery were recovered from the suspect that was held at gunpoint by the citizen, and those items were returned to the store.
Officers said the other suspect escaped with an unknown number of firearms.
TPD has not yet released the name of the suspect in custody.
