Pride Of Bixby Marching Band To Ring In 2019 In London

The Bixby High School band will get to welcome in the new year in London in 2019.

The band will travel to London in December of 2018 to perform in the city's New Year's Day Parade and Festival.

"It's a big honor and a big opportunity for our kids here at Bixby High School and we're really privileged and honored to be able to go represent our town and our community," said Jeremy Parker, Bixby High School Director of Bands.

Students welcomed a British dignitary Wednesday who presented the school with the official invitation.

The Pride of Bixby will join 8,000 performers from around the world to help ring in 2019 in London.
