Tulsa police are investigating a double murder after detectives say two women were found dead in a Tulsa apartment complex Sunday.
Police were called to the Westminster Apartments near 51st and Memorial around 11 a.m.
Police said the suspect, Rolando Morales, is in custody, facing two counts of first-degree murder.
Right now, investigators are trying to figure out if an argument may have led to the shooting.
Neighbors still can't believe what happened.
"It's tragedy right here with this situation," said neighbor Nathan Griffin. "It was just … shocking."
"This is crazy to me because I've lived here for a few years, and I've had nothing go wrong at all. Now I come home and I find out that two people died 3 apartments away from mine," said neighbor Allen Ericson.
Tulsa Police said the call came in from the suspect's estranged wife.
They said the woman received pictures of two women who were dead inside the suspect's apartment.
Once inside the home in question, officers saw a horrific scene.
"We go in and clear the apartment of any people and find out that there are two dead women in the bathroom," said Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker.
When officers arrived, the suspect came outside voluntarily, Walker said.
He said the women attended a party at the apartment Saturday night before they were shot and killed.
"There was a party there of some significance. Who was in there we don't know," Walker said.
Neighbors said their community has a history of violence, but they are also resilient.
Police said Morales also set one of the victim’s rental car on fire.
The name of the two women have not been released but police say they were in their twenties.
This marks the 12th and 13th murders of 2018 in Tulsa.
