Gathering Place Grand Opening Kicks Off With Parade

Tulsa is counting down to the grand opening of the Gathering Place park scheduled for September 8. Organizers announced Friday that events will kick off with a parade at 8:30 a.m.

An opening ceremony will take place at 9:15 a.m. followed by the official opening at 10. Then it's a day full of performances and other activities with headliner The Roots taking the stage at 5 p.m.
