100 Days Of Celebrations Start At Tulsa's Gathering Place

<p>After Tulsa&rsquo;s Gathering Place officially opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, the celebrations will begin!</p>

Tulsa’s Gathering, Place is officially open, and the celebrations are just beginning!

For the next 100 days, the park has a calendar full of events planned, including some great ones this weekend.

Several bands, including Grammy Award-winning group, “The Roots” will headline on the QuikTrip Great Lawn stage Saturday at 5 p.m. More bands will perform on Sunday.

You can skate or ride with BMX and skateboarding pros on Saturday and Sunday.  BMX pros Ty Morrow, Augie Simoncini, and Andrew Casteneda and pro skateboarders Ernie Torres, David Reyes, Robbie Brockel, and Tony Tave will be showcasing their skills at the skate park starting at noon.

During the week, there are a couple of opportunities to bring your kids out for story time at the “Reading Tree.” Those will be on Tuesday at 4 p.m. and Thursday at 10 a.m.
