Gunshot Victim Found Dead Near Tulsa Apartment Complex

Tulsa homicide detectives served a warrant at an apartment complex Thursday where they say a man was found shot to death in the bushes.

Police have spent several hours trying to track down anyone who might've seen or heard anything suspicious near where that victim was found at The Arbors at Southern Hills.

Officers said they found several shell casings near the body, but they believe the victim stumbled into the bushes after he was shot. 

Police got reports of shots fired at the complex a few hours before the body was found, but they're not sure if that call was related to this death.

Fredric Stewart said he came home from work to see cop cars near his apartment.

He found out what happened and said he'll have to be more alert when he's out walking his dogs around the complex.

"With something like this, I'll probably want to keep a cell phone on me just to be able to make a call if I just see something or something's going strange and I'll be able to have that lifeline," said Stewart.  

I asked police how long the body was there and they said they believe it was just a matter of hours.
