An Oklahoma County man is accused of sending inappropriate pictures to a 14-year-old girl.
Timothy Zane Harris, 53, was arrested on Saturday at the Walmart location at 23rd and Douglas Boulevard in Midwest City on a complaint of facilitating, encouraging, offering or soliciting sexual conduct or engaging in sexual communication with a minor or person believed to be a minor.
On Aug. 19, the Oklahoma County sheriff's office received a report of Harris speaking with a 14-year-old family member in an increasingly inappropriate manner online.
An investigator took over the girl's social media account and conversed with an Instagram account that reported belonged to Harris as the girl for a nine day period, according to a probable cause affidavit.
During that period, the investigator said an Instagram account belonging to Harris requested photos of the 14-year-old in a "bikini, sports bra, panties, whichever" and said he had a "file that's hidden deep in his phone."
The investigator said the Instagram account sent inappropriate pictures of a man's private area to the girl's Instagram account.
Harris has a long career in law enforcement. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has served as a police officer in Spencer, Logan County, Luther, Oklahoma City and Midwest City.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Harris currently works as Security Specialist/Security Manager Chief of Reports and Analysis at Tinker Air Force Base.
Tinker officials released the following statement to News 9:
“Tinker Air Force Base leadership is aware of a recent Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office investigation and arrest of a civilian employee who allegedly committed criminal conduct off base involving a minor. Tinker Air Force Base officials are cooperating with OCSO as it investigates this matter. The Air Force takes all allegations seriously and will continue to follow up on this case. Since the investigation is ongoing, we will not provide further comment on this case at this time, however, Tinker has placed the individual in AWOL and non-duty pay status and will pursue action as details emerge.
Harris was booked into the Oklahoma County jail and his bond is set at $75,000.
