The Payne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man allegedly killed his two daughters, then turned the gun on himself.

Investigators are searching for answers in the double-murder suicide case.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office confirms the man was 41-year-old Jackie Boyles Jr. Investigators believe he killed his one-year-old and five-year-old daughters behind an abandoned mobile home in Ripley, before turning the hunting rifle on himself.

Our News 9 crew found an empty gun case back behind the vacant trailer home where the bodies were found.  The case was next to a large pool of blood and live ammunition.

Jay Pjorgo lives across the street, and says he didn’t really know Boyles well, but knows Boyles’ father.

"Always been up here to help if I needed anything.  He's just real super good people.  He worked hard.  Worked two or three jobs to, real good people." Pjorgo said.

Pjorgo said the family involved was kind and respected in their community.

“It's devastating, I just I couldn't imagine. Everybody knows everybody out here,” he said.

Investigators released a timeline of events leading up to the three deaths.

According to the report, Boyles reportedly picked-up his two daughters from a relative around 4 p.m. Monday.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a call from concerned loved ones just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night. They reported that Boyles was unreachable, despite multiple attempts. When family couldn't get a hold of Boyles Tuesday night, they asked deputies to check out a location they thought he might be at.

The Payne County sheriff released a statement saying deputies went to the home around 11:30 Tuesday night, to follow up on information on a missing persons case out of Lincoln county. Boyles vehicle and the three bodies were discovered at the scene.

Many of Boyles friends said the case doesn't make any sense. Boyles was known as a man who loved his family, especially his girls.

News 9 searched online court records involving Boyles criminal history.

We found that in 2002 he was convicted of drug crimes in Rogers County.

In 2009 in Payne County Boyles pleaded guilty to a violation of victim's protective order, stalking, and drug crimes.

But for those who know the family, they said they're focused on prayer and support. They know loved ones will need it going forward.

“I mean I have lost a son. I know how devastating it could be. I can't imagine the feelings going through them right now,” Pjorgo said.

The investigation is ongoing. We have reached out to the medical examiner’s officer for further answers.

Court documents filed Wednesday in Payne County reveals there was a custody issue set for court in April.

Documents also show a paternity test was requested in the case.
