Police have found a 4-day-old baby who was reportedly taken by her mother from a northeast Oklahoma City home.
Police began searching for the baby girl shortly after midnight after the mother, Laysha Webb, 25, reportedly took her from a family member's home near NE 8 and Stonewall.
According to the OKCPD, the baby was placed with a family member due to concerns over the mother’s ability to care for the baby.
Webb left the home on foot.
Police found the child and mother at a residence in the 3300 block of N Laird.
The mother is being interviewed by police and the child will remain in DHS custody, police said.
