Police need help identifying a man who crashed a stranger’s car, causing injuries in Oklahoma City.
The crime occurred on June 13, and no one at the hit-and-run scene reported knowing the suspect.
Police say a woman picked the man up at a bus stop and let him sit in her car at a gas station parking lot.
“She actually doesn't know him, that she lent him the car to go somewhere, had given him a ride and unfortunately he took off with the car,” Oklahoma City Police Officer Megan Morgan said.
Police say the man then took off with the woman’s car and rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection of Southwest Grand Boulevard and May.
“The victim did sustain minor injuries but he's going to be OK,” Morgan said.
Before first responders could arrive, the mysterious suspect took off.
A witness did manage to take a photo of the suspect wearing a white hat, red shorts and black shirt.
“This was a great thing by witnesses not only sticking by to speak with officers but also thinking quickly enough to take a picture of the suspect not getting involved, so there's not any type of altercation,” Morgan said.
Oklahoma City Police are asking anyone who knows who the suspect is to call Crime Stoppers.
