An Oklahoma City police officer is recovering Monday after an overnight, head-on crash near SE 66 and Shields.
The female suspect driver in this case was arrested after crashing into the on duty officer.
The officer involved in the crash was responding to a burglary call in the area at the time.
News 9 has video of the scene from shortly after the crash.
In it, you can see the officer's airbags deployed.
Once officers made contact they determined they had reasonable suspicion to arrest her.
"The person that was driving the other vehicle that collided with the car was found to be intoxicated so they are going to be arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence," Oklahoma City police Sgt. Jeff Dutton said.
The identities of the officer and the arrested driver have not been released.
The crash is still under investigation.
