Plans for a new entertainment district in northeast OKC are proceeding as planned.
American Fidelity is developing land it owns south of its headquarters at NE 82nd and I-235.
Developer Randy Hogan is hopeful a lease with Flix Brew House will be signed in the next 30 days.
Flix will serve as the anchor tenant.
Restaurants, office space, and a boardwalk are also planned.
“We are now just starting to reach out to restaurants we think would compliment the area,” said Hogan.
Flix has always been the target tenant for the development. The Austin based business brews its own beer, which is served inside the theater.
However, Oklahoma laws had prevented Flix from operating in the state under its current form of operations.
Laws prevented alcohol from being served inside a movie theater where people under 21 were also in attendance.

Hogan said starting construction in the first quarter of 2018 remains the goal.
