There have been calls for an investigation into a prayer before a high school football game in Norman after a video of the prayer circulated online.
The First Amendment rights group, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, said it got a call from a concerned parent after the video showed a coach leading a team prayer.
It shows a Norman High School football coach leaning over a group of kneeling players. He can be heard asking for the Lord's wisdom.
In a letter to the district's attorney, the foundation asked the district to start an investigation and take steps to ensure no other district employees take part in prayer on school grounds.
Numerous court decisions have ruled that it's a violation of the First Amendment for a public employee to be involved in a prayer at work because it's seen as an endorsement of a certain religion.
The district declined to comment saying they had only been recently notified about the complaint.
