Thousands Without Power As Severe Storm Makes Way Across State

Thousands of OG&E customers are without power late Monday night after a line of severe storms barreled through the state.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m., OG&E reported more than 8,300 customers without power throughout the state.

According to OG&E System Watch, the most without power was in Oklahoma City with more than 1,400 customers reporting outages. More than 950 customers in Bethany also reported outages.

According to the News 9 weather center, winds of up to 68 mph were reported in the Oklahoma City metro area.

After 2:00 a.m., OG&E reported nearly 6,400 customers in Oklahoma were still without power. Customers without power in Oklahoma City rose to more than 2,100, according to the OG&E System Watch. The city of Bethany was listed as the 2nd largest amount of customers without power at more than 600 reported outages. 

After 4:00 a.m., OG&E reported 5,019 customers still without power in the state. The largest cities affected were Oklahoma City- 2,172, Midwest City- 423, and Bethany- 211.

After 6:00 a.m., OG&E reported 3,920 customers without power statewide. 1,213 customers in Oklahoma City were still without power, 579 in Gage, and 239 in Yukon.
