Selections for the award are made by the league's 10 head coaches, who are not permitted to vote for their own players.
Hill led the Cowboys in rushing with 1,042 yards and five scores, while he drastically improved OSU's rushing attack along with senior Chris Carson. Hill's season was highlighted by a 162 yard performance against Kansas while racking up 154 yards against TCU.
Just one year after toting the ball for Tulsa Washington, Hill projects to be one of the Big 12's most dynamic players in upcoming years.
