Oklahoma linebacker Jordan Evans was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Evans had a team-high nine tackles, two sacks and two interceptions in the Sooners’ 45-24 win against Baylor.
He became the first player in OU history to record two interceptions and two sacks in a game.
Evans ranks sixth in the Big 12 with 7.6 tackles per game and has 8.0 tackles for loss on the season.
The Sooners go to No. 16 West Virginia this weekend.
