A small earthquake shook up residents near Perry, Oklahoma Sunday afternoon.
The 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck around 1:43 p.m. Its epicenter was located 11 miles east, northeast of Perry, 17 miles north of Stillwater, 22 miles south of Ponca City, and 37 miles north, northeast of Guthrie.
It was about two and half miles deep.
At this time, no one has reported any damages or injuries associated with this earthquake.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
