Police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead inside an Oklahoma City home over the weekend.
According to police, just after 8 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a medical assist call at a home in the 200 block of S.E. 43rd Street. When officers arrived, they found 31-year-old Sylvia Serrato dead inside the home.
Serrato had trauma to her body consistent with homicide and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Neighbors would not talk on camera, but they told News 9's Adrianna Iwasinski there was a lot of drug activity that went on in and out of the house where Serrato lived. They said she moved into the home about a year ago and jail records show Serrato had spent time in jail early last year on drug-related charges.
There have been no arrests made in this case. Anyone with information should call the homicide tip-line at (405)-297-1200.
This is Oklahoma City’s 60th homicide of 2016, police said.
