Former Thunder star Kevin Durant is breaking his silence. In a new interview, he talked about his decision to leave Oklahoma City and former teammate, Russell Westbrook.
Sports fans have Thursday, November 3 circled on their calendar. That's the first time Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will play each other on opposite teams.
A lot of people are hoping for fireworks but Durant said it won't be like that. Wednesday night, he spoke with Bill Simmons on HBO's "Any Given Wednesday" about leaving OKC and his former teammate. He said he doesn't think his decision will lead to bad blood on the basketball court.
"When we play, I’m not even thinking about you, I’m worried about how I’m going to dominate. I'm not going out and meeting Russell by his car. He's not going to want to fight me. I don't care about all that stuff," said Kevin Durant, Golden State Forward.
Durant also said it was difficult telling Westbrook he was leaving but it was something he had to do.
