Around 200 Oklahoma City residents attended a public meeting to discuss a dangerous intersection.

Yukon High School Senior Matthew Silva, 17, died after the car he was driving was struck by a semi-tractor trailer just after Silva turned left off of West Britton onto Piedmont Road.

A Yukon High School basketball player died in an accident at the same spot last year.

Residents are fighting a developer who plans to build 1,200 homes nearby.

James McDaniel and his wife own a farm at that intersection.

"So we need to get together like we are doing and do something about it. I've seen those bodies up there and it's not pretty,” said McDaniel.

An OKC Public Works Representative said ODOT is working on new flashing signage for the intersection.
