A suspect is in the hospital after being shot by a Pontotoc County Sheriff’s deputy following a high-speed chase near Ada.
Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian confirmed the shooting with News 9 Wednesday afternoon.
The condition of the suspect is not known at this time and it is unclear what prompted the chase and subsequent shooting. Ada Police are also on the scene.
