One man is behind bars following a confrontation that led to a fatal shooting Friday night in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Around 10 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 400 block of E. Rogers Dr. after a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, officers say they found 23-year-old Austin Lee Clavin, of Perry, dead from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the report, witnesses told officers that Clavin arrived at a party being held at the home and got into a confrontation with 23-year-old Robert Keeler Jr., of Stillwater. Witnesses statements indicated that Keeler shot Clavin during that confrontation.
"The kid that actually, to my understanding, who did the shooting went out and banged his head on the truck after he fired the shots," Stillwater resident Dale Bays said. "It's probably because he lost his temper as far as I could see."
Keeler was arrested based upon probable cause, and is being held on a homicide complaint. The district attorney will make a decision on formal charges after the investigation concludes.
