A 17-year-old boy from Elk City, Oklahoma, was killed in an ATV crash near Foss Lake State Park in Custer County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash happened some time between 12:20 p.m. Tuesday to 1 a.m. Wednesday on a private property just south of State Highway 73 at County Road 2100.
A Polaris Sportsman 700 ATV driven by the teenager, who remains unidentified, was eastbound through the field when it went down an embankment. The teen was thrown from the ATV as it continued to roll down the hill.
Troopers said the ATV continued eastbound, rolled over, coming to rest on the teenager. He was pinned under the ATV for an unknown amount of time.
The teen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
