News 9 has learned there will be major developments when the son of a slain Duncan family appears in Stephens County Court, Thursday.

Authorities claim Hruby later confessed to killing his family to inherit their estate and ensure that he would be the only heir.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. The case is expected to go to trial in April 2016.

The hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday before District Judge Ken Graham. A press conference will follow the hearing.
