Three Oklahoma State football players have received invitations to participate in the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine, including defensive end Jimmy Bean, defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah and cornerback Kevin Peterson.
Ogbah was a dominant force throughout his career, capping his time at OSU with a Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of Year performance last season. He ends his time as a Cowboy as the school’s al-time leader in career quarterback hurries and ranks fourth in career sacks and tackles for loss despite forgoing his final year of eligibility.
Bean has been a key component of the Cowboy defense for several years, starting 34 consecutive games before his senior season was cut short due to injury. Despite missing the last five games of the year, he ranked second on the team with 10.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
Peterson, who was also invited to this year’s Senior Bowl, was consistently a lock-down cornerback who started in all four years of his career. He was a 2015 team captain and a first-team All-Big 12 performer who was a central figure in helping OSU limit Baylor’s Corey Coleman, TCU’s Josh Doctson and Oklahoma’s Sterling Shepard all under 100 receiving yards last season.
The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind., from Feb. 23-29. The 2016 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 28-30 in Chicago.
