Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers have recovered an OHP vehicle after it was stolen Sunday night, the agency confirmed.

Troopers found the vehicle at a dead end road near SW 36 Street and Thomas Road, OHP Lt. John Vincent said.

The K-9 officer is fine and the weapons have all been accounted for, Vincent said.

The thief was found near Newcastle and Airport roads shortly after the OHP SUV was recovered.

Oklahoma City police assisted the troopers in their search.

Oklahoma City police said the vehicle was stolen during a traffic stop near Interstate 40 and Council Road.
