The sixth-ranked Sooners host the Central Arkansas Bears on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. as Oklahoma seeks its fifth win of the season.
Buddy Hield leads the Sooners in scoring this season at 22.0 points-per-game while Ryan Spangler and Isaiah Cousins join him in double figures at 13.0 and 12.5 respectively.
The Bears, who finished 2-27 last year and are 1-5 this season, shouldn’t present much more than a tune-up game for Oklahoma which heads to Honolulu next for a highly-anticipated Monday night contest with No. 8 Villanova.
Thursday marks the second overall meeting between OU and UCA; the Sooners won 76-73 at home in 2010.Central Arkansas has three players averaging double figures: guards Jordan Howard (16.8), Derreck Brooks (13.0) and forward Justin Foreman (11.7).
Oklahoma leads the nation in field goal defense, allowing opponents to shoot just 31 percent from the field and 23 percent from deep.
