There are big plans for the continued development near Quail Springs, where the new TopGolf and Cabela’s just opened earlier this year. News 9 got a look at what's planned for the nearly 200 acres of land.
The developers with the Medallion Development Group have been working to put this land together for about 20 years. And they said now is finally a good time to start developing it.
The good times were already rolling for Maggie Bookout’s 11th birthday party Friday at TopGolf. It opened in June in the Memorial corridor.
Cabela’s opened a few months later next door.
“It’s good to see those kinds of activities that families can get out and enjoy this area,” said Casey Bookout about the new development headed for the area.
“Our goal for Chisholm Creek is to bring new things to the market or something really special that’s already here,” Whitney Rainbolt with the Medallion Development Group said.
Here’s what's in the works for summer 2016:
A 74,000 square foot building called 'Tract 30' with retail shops and restaurants. And later next year, another area called 'The Pointe' - which will be a hotel and shops below, plus six to eight restaurants surrounding a lake.
The area is already somewhat of a destination spot. Ryan Stahler was at TopGolf from Cushing.
“We probably come down here once a month,” he said.
And that's what developers want to build on, trying to make it a place worth visiting.
“The more there is to do, the better,” Bookout told News 9.
So far, we know Fuzzies, Republic and Yokozuna will be tenants at Tract 30.
Also, an indoor skydiving facility is set to open late this year or early 2016 called iFly.
