Lockdown Lifted At Moore Schools; Armed Robbery Suspect Still At Large

Several schools in Moore, Oklahoma, were placed on a lockdown as police searched for an armed robbery suspect in the area Monday morning.

Several schools in Moore, Oklahoma, were placed on a lockdown as police searched for an armed robbery suspect in the area Monday morning.

According to Moore police, the suspect robbed a Dollar General Store, located near Santa Fe and 19th, at gunpoint and then ran away from the scene.

Just before 9 a.m., Plaza Towers Elementary School, Oak Ridge Elementary School, and South Moore High School, and Briarwood Elementary School were placed under a lockdown, as officers searched for the suspect in the area. 

The lockdown was lifted a short time later. 

The suspect is still at large, but police have terminated the search for now.
