The family of a woman shot by her husband is now speaking. The shooting happened Sunday, but now for the first time the father of the victim talks to News 9.
The woman is at OU Medical Center in critical condition, but her family says she's showing some encouraging signs.
“Even though it doesn’t seem to look like it when you see what’s happened, they did love and care about each other,” Joel Maly said.
It is hard to understand but all Tiffany Morgan's family can grasp after her husband, Jason Morgan, shot her in the head when he went outside to settle some sort of dispute with neighbors.
Witnesses say Jason Morgan then broke into a neighbor's house, and that neighbor shot and killed him. His wife Tiffany, however, is still clinging to life, but there were close calls.

“We almost lost her Tuesday at six o’clock,” Maly said. “She had some blood clots in her leg, and one broke free and went into her lungs, and that’s when we just about lost her.”
She was heavily sedated, but for a moment let everyone know she could hear them.
“For a brief time, they asked her to grip the right hand, and she did grip,” Maly said. “She kept eye contact for a couple of minutes with the nurse, and then she went into panic from pain, and they turned the sedation back on.”
She hasn't spoken since the shooting, but despite what witnesses say, her family believes Jason Morgan didn't intentionally shoot his wife.
“I truly hope that everybody can accept that, and we can put it to rest,” he said. “And people will just be more caring, loving and understanding, and give her prayers more than trying to speculate and blame, because it’s over. It’s done, and we don’t need to blame anybody.”
The couple has three children who are staying with family.
There is an account set up to help the family and you can donate at any BancFirst, it's the Tiffany Morgan Benefit Fund.
