Emergency crews are on the scene where a semi-truck carrying cattle rolled over in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near Paoli in Garvin County, Oklahoma, Wednesday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, both lanes of I-35 northbound at mile marker 79, just north of State Highway 145, were shut down at about 7:30 a.m.. Northbound traffic was detoured on SH-145 to Paoli, US-77 to Wayne and SH-59 back to I-35 during cleanup of the accident.
Traffic was backed up in the area. The lanes reopened just before 1 p.m.
Authorities said there were about 100 cows inside the truck at the time of the crash. They were contained inside the trailer.
Bob Mills SkyNews 9 HD flew over the scene. Pilot Jim Gardner reported that it was a double-decker cattle truck that rolled over. Emergency crews had to unload cattle from the truck.
Hazmat crews were also on the scene due to diesel spill.
