Oklahoma City is not going to want to go to Omaha again for some time.
After a series-opening win on Monday night for OKC, the Storm Chasers took the final four games of the series, capped by a 6-3 win over the Dodgers on Thursday.
The game was a tight one until the bottom of the eighth inning when the Storm Chasers put up five runs to take a 6-1 lead. The six-hit, five-run barrage all came off OKC reliever Grant Dayton, who was tagged with the loss. The big blow came courtesy of Brett Eibner, who clubbed a three-run home run.
The Dodgers put two runs on the board in the top of the ninth, and had runners on first and second with one out, but were unable to generate any more offense to erase the deficit.
OKC continues its road trip on Friday with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch in Round Rock against the Express.
