Nominees for the 69th annual Tony Awards, honoring the best of the Broadway season, were revealed, and two Oklahomans are on the list.

Kristin Chenoweth, who was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is among the nominees for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, for her performance in “On the Twentieth Century.”
Chenoweth will also host the award show alongside actor Alan Cumming.
Another Oklahoma native, Kelli O'Hara of Elk City, Oklahoma, is also nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance in “The King and I.”
Winners will be named on Sunday, June 7, in a ceremony airing live on CBS.
Both Chenoweth and O'Hara attended Oklahoma City University. Their were taught by Florence Birdwell, a professor of voice at the Bass School of Music. Birdwell will be featured on CBS Sunday morning.
