Missing Elmore City Man Found Safe

Investigators have safely located an Elmore City man who was last seen over a week ago.

According to Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes, 20-year-old Dylan Harris was found around 2 p.m. in the same area where he was last reported missing.

Harris was first reported missing to the media on Sunday. At the time, Harris was last seen walking away from his home on Jan. 28. Investigators say Harris did not have a cell phone or access to a vehicle.

Harris is said to be paranoid of law enforcement and may not seek assistance by himself.

According to the sheriff's office, Harris was unharmed and no foul play is suspected in his disappearance. It is believed he was intentionally avoiding contact with family members who reported him as missing.

"I want to thank the various media sources who assisted with disseminating information about this missing individual and family and friends of Dylan Harris who assisted in his search," said Rhodes.

No other information has been released at this time.
