OKLAHOAM CITY -- It's a mild morning for Oklahoma. Most of the state is reporting temperatures in the 60s with partly cloudy skies.
Later on Thursday, we start to heat up. Central Oklahoma afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s. Some areas in western Oklahoma will see some mid-90s.
We continue to dry out, but you might notice the humidity on Thursday. A warm muggy afternoon is possible.
Winds for much of the state will be light and out of the Northeast. The UV index on Thursday is 10 out of 10, so watch out for sunburn if you are outdoors late day.
We are keeping a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms in the forecast for the late day period. Thursday night, it will be warm and humid with an overnight low in the 60s.
Friday, it will be warm with a 40 percent chance for thunderstorms.
