Police arrest a woman accused of injuring a man by dragging him on the outside of his own car.
According to a police report, Kristeena Wheeler, 31, got a ride from a man off I-240 on Friday, April 25. She told police she wanted to get home to Burns Flat and the man told her he would take her part of the way.
Wheeler told police the man stopped near N.W. 10th Street and Cemetery Road to get air in his tires and when he got out of the car, she said she got behind the wheel and took off. Witnesses told police the man was clinging to the window on the outside of the car and dragged before falling off. The man was taken to an area hospital, his condition listed as stable.
Wheeler told police before the man stopped at a gas station to put air in his tires, "he tried to grab my face to kiss me and then he tried to grab my special private area." She said that's why she felt she needed to get away from him, according to the report.
Wheeler was arrested and booked on charges of assault and battery with a motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
