Vehicle Escorting 'Oversized Load' Rear-Ends OHP Trooper Near Shawnee

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation said a vehicle escorting a large house being transported hit an Oklahoma Highway Patrol car near Shawnee.

According to officials, an escorting vehicle rear-ended an OHP car Friday afternoon just east of Shawnee on Highway 3 near Rock Creek Road. Highway 3 was blocked in the area of the accident.

The trooper was transported to a hospital in Shawnee. He was reported to have been treated and released.
