An Elk City Pastor is warning women about the dangers of human trafficking and says she is doing it because of what she says happened to her in Europe a few months ago.
Bre Little is Worship Pastor at Grandview Church in Elk City. Little says she and a friend, who is a Tulsa nurse, were doing missionary work in London in January. They took a day trip to Paris, France on their final day.
Little says when she and her friend entered Paris' subway system, they were followed by a group of men that followed them from train to train three different times.
Eventually, she says the men were scared away by others in her group. But she says if she and her friend had been alone, she believes they were targeted for either robbery or abduction.
"You hear about it, but you don't think it will ever happen to you," she said.
Little says a Pastor in London told her later that authorities in Europe don't prosecute many human traffickers, because they are connected with police agencies.
"The system is very perverted. It's very messed up," she said.
