OK Representative Calls For OSBI Investigation Into Man's Death In Moore

State Representative Mike Shelton is now calling for an investigation into the death of man, who died while in police custody.

Luis Rodriguez died in police custody outside the Warren Theater Saturday morning. Rodriguez's wife and daughter say they watched as two security officers and three Moore officers beat him. They were called to break up a fight between the women.

The Moore officers are already on paid administrative leave for an internal investigation. Now Representative Shelton called on OSBI to investigate.

"To avoid having this situation turn into an even bigger controversy, I believe state officials should be put in charge," he said.

One of three local officials will have to formally request the OSBI's involvement.
