A former member of the Oklahoma National Guard is accused of dressing up in his uniform and asking for money.
Edmond Police say 22-year-old Nicholas Heskett has done it several times in the past several months all of central Oklahoma.
A National Guard Spokesman says Heskett was discharged last month.
Several months ago, Carol Horton says she gave Heskett money after he walked into the Barbie's Consignment Shop where she worked. She says Heskett told her he was collecting funds to send care packages to military members overseas.
"When we have kids that are fighting overseas and working hard for our country, he dishonored his uniform," she said.
Heskett is charged with two counts of fraud. His last known address was in Crescent. He is still on the loose.
