'The Nutcracker' Ushers In Holiday Celebrations In Yukon

If you are in the Yukon area this weekend and are looking for something to do to celebrate this holiday season, you don't want to miss "The Nutcracker."

Accompanied by the Oklahoma Community Orchestra, the Central Oklahoma Ballet's "The Nutcracker" will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Yukon Fine Arts Auditorium, located at 850 Yukon Avenue.

This year's Nutcracker under artistic director Debra Vossen will feature national and international guest artists, along with local dancers and actors performing to the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky.

"The Nutcracker," a Christmas tradition for many families, offers something for both young and old.

Nutcracker is sponsored by the Oklahoma Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Kerr Foundation, Bank of Commerce, and Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital.

Advance tickets are $12, and $15 at the door. Tickets are available at all Yukon National Bank locations, the Midfirst Bank inside the Yukon Wal Mart, or online at www.centralokballet.org.
