Authorities are investigating after an inmate was found dead in her cell early Saturday morning at the Garfield County Detention Facility.

According to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, at about 4:30 a.m. detention officers found 26-year-old Jordan Lindsey Leigh Thompson unresponsive in her cell.

An Enid police officer arrested Thompson Friday night for driving under the influence of drugs. She was booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility at about 7 p.m. Friday on three misdemeanor charges, including DUI - drugs, driving left of center, and driving without insurance.

Thompson was also arrested on one felony charge of child endangerment, because her 3-year-old child was in the car.

Thompson's body has been transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in Oklahoma City for investigation into her cause and manner of death.
